
Dustyn Lanz is a mission-driven investment industry executive, podcast host, and advisor to new & aspiring business leaders.
Dustyn is CEO of OxProx, a proxy voting analytics firm with a mission to amplify investor stewardship. He hosts a podcast called Civil Discourse, Please, in which he speaks with social scientists & other experts to navigate sociopolitical issues facing Canada. And he is building Everlead, a forthcoming venture that aims to deliver high-quality, cost-effective leadership training and development programs for new and aspiring leaders..
Throughout his career, Dustyn has been a prolific writer, speaker, and media commentator. He has been quoted by Bloomberg, Reuters, The Globe and Mail, and other media outlets. He is a columnist with Investment Executive, and his academic writing has been published by think tanks and academic journals. He has delivered guest lectures at leading Canadian business schools including Ivey Business School at Western University, DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, and Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
Prior to his current work, Dustyn was CEO of Canada's Responsible Investment Association and a Senior Advisor with ESG Global Advisors Inc. In 2021, Dustyn co-developed Climate Engagement Canada – a coalition of 48 institutional investors managing over $6 trillion that engages with Canada’s highest-emitting corporations to promote the transition to a net-zero economy. In 2020, Dustyn led the development of the Canadian Investor Statement on Diversity & Inclusion – an anti-racism pledge signed by 45 institutional investors managing over $4 trillion in assets.
In 2021, Dustyn received a Changemaker award from the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. In 2018, he was featured in Wealth Professional Magazine’s “Hot List” of 50 influencers in Canada’s investment industry, and in 2016 he received a Clean50 Emerging Leader Award for contributions to sustainable development under the age of 35.
Dustyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honours, Summa Cum Laude) from York University and a Master of Arts in Global Governance from the Balsillie School of International Affairs at the University of Waterloo.
